Hello, I’m Lizzie Nadalin, a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist based in Melbourne. I provide evidence-based, neuroaffirming, and strengths-based speech pathology support for children (5+ years), adolescents, and adults.
I graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Speech Pathology in 2019. Since then, I have worked in schools, childcare settings, homes, clinics, and through telehealth with families across Australia. I bring a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to every person I support.
I believe that communication is connection. My role is to support each person in discovering the communication tools that work best for them, in ways that feel authentic and respectful. I work from a neuroaffirming and strengths-based perspective, recognising and building on each individual’s unique skills and interests.
Who I Support
I work with school-aged children (5+ years), adolescents, and adults. I have experience supporting autistic, ADHDer, dyslexic, and dysgraphic individuals, as well as people with developmental language disorder.
Where I’ve Worked
My career has spanned a range of settings, from early childhood to schools, family homes, private practice, and telehealth. This has given me a broad understanding of how communication needs evolve across the lifespan as well as differences across environments.
How I Work
I provide neuroaffirming, strengths-based support grounded in respect, autonomy, and connection. I prioritise creating a calm, warm, and predictable space where individuals feel comfortable and understood.
I support people to communicate in ways that feel authentic to them and to build skills in a way that honours their identity, interests, and pace.
Therapy is collaborative and flexible, shaped around what matters most to the individual and their family. I work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure support feels cohesive and meaningful across environments.
I am committed to staying up to date with best practice and regularly attend training in areas such as:
Literacy and Language: Sounds-Write Phonics Programme, reading comprehension, spelling, writing, dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental language disorder, oral language, and written expression.
Neuroaffirming Practice: Autism, ADHD, PDA, developmental language disorder, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and trauma-informed care.
